Maïeusthesie, a simple and effective approach

From the very beginning of our existence, we all face situations where we are caught up in our emotions, where we feel alone with what we are feeling.
To avoid being overwhelmed, our mind puts aside those parts of the psyche that are charged with emotions.
An unconscious process then begins, to recognise and rehabilitate these parts of the psyche, for greater wholeness, "to pick up the pieces".

We all have inner states that are difficult to live with. Anxiety, anguish, anger, stress, fears and blockages are present in all of us, to varying degrees.
These symptoms call for our attention. They invite us to see and recognise within ourselves what has been pushed aside in order to rehabilitate it.

Maïeusthesie takes us to the heart of the psyche via our feelings, while giving them full consideration.
When what calls for our attention is fully recognised, we are naturally soothed. The cleaved part is rehabilitated, which evacuates the emotions that were blocked.

Maïeusthesie could be defined as an approach that identifies the processes of rehabilitation in an individual, then accompanies them to completion. Deep relief follows.

Thierry Tournebise is the founder of Maïeusthesie.

The word Maïeusthesie is inspired by the words :

maieutikê (Greek origin): "the art of giving birth".

aísthêsis (Greek origin): "to be sensitive, to perceive".

Maïeusthesie, then, means being sensitive to the fact that each individual is 'in gestation' of himself, and that a symptom is the sign of this process. "In gestation" in the sense that a part of the self is constantly trying to pick up the pieces, to develop its integrity.

The Maïeusthesie therapist helps the patient to become aware of this process and accompanies him or her through to the end. Instead of this process taking months, years or a lifetime, it is completed in one or two hours during a session. Once the process has been completed, healing follows naturally ; the symptoms disappear, and a real sense of calm follows.
